A few tips from experience: match the faucet to your sink hole configuration (single-hole, centerset, or widespread), check that a new toilet matches your rough-in distance (usually twelve inches from wall to bolts), and skip the bargain-bin brands whose replacement cartridges are impossible to find in five years.
